An impractical drug that brings death with fame

Richard Piana was an American bodybuilder and businessman and Youtuber famous all over the world. He won the National Physique Committee (NPC) Mr. Teen California title in 1989, the NPC Mr. California in 1998, and the National Physic Committee (NPC) competitions in 2003 and 2009, it has been seen that some body builders or Hollywood actors sometimes use steroids to give better shape to their body. But they do not always get the right result because steroids are a type of drug, the results of which can also be dangerous.

Piana publicly confessed that he was using anabolic steroids and synthetic human growth hormone. He started consuming it from the age of 18, he said that he is taking this step deliberately. Piana earned a lot of name in the world of bodybuilding, but the path of achieving this fame and success took her towards death.

Similarly, Dallas McCarver started his bodybuilding career at an early age and won 3 out of 5 of his IFBB competitions between 2012 and 2015. He also placed 8th at the 2016 Mr. Olympia Competition. In March 2017, Dallas collapsed while posing at the Arnold Classic in Australia. He explained later that he had been battling an upper respiratory infection that progressed into bronchitis, leaving him unable to catch his breath

On August 22, 2017, Dallas was found on the floor of his home, with food scattered everywhere around him. He was pronounced dead at 1:03 pm.

At autopsy, liver and kidney enlargement, nephrosclerosis (a hard kidney), heavy lung, and papillary thyroid carcinoma were noted.

In connection with the same competition, Meegan Hefford (Australia), a 25-year-old mother of two kids, died after following a protein-heavy diet that triggered an undiagnosed condition called urea cycle disorder. She had been working hard to lead the bodybuilding competition, unaware that she suffered from a rare genetic disorder that meant her body was unable to properly digest the protein. The urea cycle disorder caused a build-up of ammonia in his bloodstream and fluid in his brain, which eventually led to loss of brain function. Hefford was found unconscious in her apartment in West Australia and was immediately taken to hospital, where she was declared brain-dead. The ultimate cause of his death was "consumption of bodybuilding supplements" apart from an unknown illness.

Doctors are said to have attributed the final cause of her death to the consumption of bodybuilding supplements other than the disorder. Reports also say that Meegan used to go to the gym twice a day to exercise. Her mother thought that was the reason she was feeling so lethargic

Meegan Hafford passed away on 22 June 2017 at the age of 25.

These three were from such profession, apart from these many people from all over the world are still associated or thinking of joining this competition, which our world knows as bodybuilding. In fact, in the world of bodybuilding you identify as a person whose muscular structure resembles that of a superhero to that of a giant hulk. Here the same formula works, the stronger the body, the sooner fame will come and in the hunger of this fame, many youths and bodybuilders of the world had to go to the grave of time immemorial.

You must have seen many of your male bodybuilders whose breasts become excessively large. According to a recent report, it has been found in the circle of the World Health Organisation that anabolic steroids reduce our semen count. That is, this dangerous steroid also affects our sperm count and affects our reproductive as well as our sex organs that in many cases people using this medicine can never have children.

However it is common and seventy percent of boys get it during puberty. It’s caused by natural changes in estrogen (a "female hormone" that men also have) and testosterone. Newborn babies sometimes have short-term gynecomastia, too. That’s because some of their mothers’ estrogen stays in their blood for a while after birth.

Middle-aged and older men can also have the condition. It could be due to aging (which also shifts hormone levels) or because of certain medicines, including some:

  • Antibiotics
  • Heart medicines
  • Anti-anxiety drugs
  • AIDS treatments
  • Tricyclic antidepressants
  • Chemotherapy
  • Drugs that treat heartburn

Note :- Marijuana and drugs like heroin, amphetamines, and steroids can cause it. So can drinking too much alcohol.

However, if we talk about the side-effects of steroids in women, then Candice Armstrong 28 from Walthamstow in London, who has turned in to male body today due to excessive use of steroids and drugs. Although talking about herself, she (Candice Armstrong) says that she won't stop taking the drug and thinks it has improved her life.

Candice (left) before she started taking anabolic steroids, which led to her developing facial hair, acne, and various other male characteristics, including a one-inch penis. Candice (right) as she is now..

In describing men's attraction to her, she says that I used to get a lot of attention from men. Now very few people find me attractive. But I can’t say I miss sex. I have no sex drive and I’m more insecure than ever.

When we abandon our normal routine and increase our dependence on some very unnatural and impractical ingredients in our food, instead of natural sources, we may face a situation that we could never have imagined! These are some examples related to our normal lifestyle which are present in the public domain and we should move forward by learning from the mistakes of others instead of making mistakes again and again.
